About Paul F Vang

Paul Vang is an avid outdoorsman and news junkie. Born on a farm in southern Minnesota, he attended St Olaf College where he majored in history, and had a long career in the Social Security Administration with posts in Des Moines, Iowa; Fargo, North Dakota; Davenport, Iowa, Miles City, Montana; Grafton, North Dakota; and finally Butte, Montana, where he retired and reinvented himself as an outdoors writer.

When he's not writing, Paul enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing, playing horn in the Butte Symphony, serving as Past Montana District Governor of Kiwanis International and Past President of the Northwest Outdoor Writers Association, being active at Gold Hill Lutheran, playing bridge, chasing tennis balls, and vexing his long-suffering wife with further schemes to get the trailer muddy.

Paul's immediate supervisor is Flicka.
